Below, we have compiled what we believe to be some useful information and important tips to follow to ensure long lasting, brilliant floors for years to come.

• Never damp mop a wood floor

• Floors should be cleaned once every 1-2 weeks.

• Remove wet spills promptly using a soft cotton cloth.

• Do not use wax, oil soap, vinegar or other household cleaners. These products can dull the finish and make future cleaning and re-coating difficult.

Preventative Maintenance
Preventative Maintenance goes a long way toward protecting your hardwood floor and helping it look great for a lifetime of enjoyment. Follow these important tips:

• Regularly trim file your pet's claws

• Recoat your floors every 5-6 years

• Never slide furniture across flooring

• Use a humidifier in the winter months

• Install EZ-Glide™ protectors on feet of furniture
  
  
• Avoid rubber-backed or other non-ventilated rugs

• Avoid walking on the floors with high heels or cleats

• Use mats or throw rugs at entrances and heavy traffic areas

• Recoating should be done when your floor begins to show wear. A recoat will quickly rejuvenate the floor’s resilience.
  

Newly Finished Floor Care
Your newly finished floor is a long term investment. Protect your investment while improving the value of your home by maintaining the quality of your brand new floor with these helpful tips.

• Avoid cleaning your floors for 7 days.

• Allow 48 hours before allowing pets on the hardwood.

• Area rugs may be placed on hardwood flooring after 7 days.

• Allow 72-hours before moving furniture back on hardwood flooring.

• Wait 24-hours before walking on floors with stocking feet. After 24-hours, you may walk on the floor with soft sole shoes.
  
  
• Install EZ-Glide protectors on feet of furniture. Do not drag furniture or appliances on flooring.
